What we do
VT Nuclear Services’ principal areas of business are:
- Nuclear decommissioning and clean-up – we provide multi-disciplinary engineering, design and management services for major projects in the UK and overseas.
- New build of nuclear power stations – we use our expertise, experience and knowledge to help nuclear vendors understand UK and international regulatory requirements, manage waste, design for decommissioning and quantify decommissioning liabilities.
- Environmental and waste management services – we provide specialist radiological and analytical consultancy associated with the identification and removal of environmental problems as a result of nuclear waste.
- Laboratory analysis – we own and operate one of the UK’s largest purpose-built laboratories with world-class analytical capability. Using cutting-edge technology and measuring equipment, our expert team uses advanced techniques to analyse sample types and detect a variety of trace metals, anions and radioactive isotopes.
- Specialist radiometric instrumentation solutions – we provide specialist radiological detection and measurement solutions in the nuclear and civil instrumentation and security markets, both in the UK and overseas. This includes integrating leading-edge radiometric technology instrumentation with through-life asset support, including calibration, repair and maintenance services.
