What are we looking for?
VT is a unique and diverse business - we're not like many others and we want our graduates to reflect our nature. There's no doubt that you will have an excellent degree that you worked hard for - but what else can you bring to our organisation?
A 2.1 degree
You must be expecting or have a 2.1 degree from a recognised university. If you are applying for the Finance stream you must be expecting or have a finance related degree. For Management we particularly welcome applications from engineering undergraduates, although all degree disciplines can apply. |
UK Eligibility
You must also be eligible to work in the UK as unfortunately we are unable to support work permits. You must also have been resident in the UK for the last three years consecutively. |
Geographical mobility
We will require you to be geographically mobile for the duration of the scheme as your placements will take you to a number of locations in the UK – and perhaps abroad! You will also preferably have a full UK driving licence. |
Excellent communication skills
You should be a confident communicator, able to interact with people at all levels from shop-floor technician to CEO. Be commercially aware - that means you should understand what motivates a business and how it operates. We want proactive ideas people who are self motivated and driven to succeed in all that they do. |
Rounded experience
We recruit graduates who have something about them that makes them stand out from the crowd. We look for extra-curricular skills and experiences that tell us you are likely to feel comfortable in an environment that constantly challenges you and changes around you. |
