Babcock delivers the highest standards of training and support to the Royal Navy. We have worked closely with the RN for the past 15 years in a unique collaborative relationship. We have a deep understanding of the ethos for training across the Armed Forces which enables us to provide a wide range of services, taking an innovative approach to deliver significant improvements in efficiency and service delivery. Services include:
- RN training and support through the Fleet Outsourced Activities Project - Training (FOAP(T)) at RN training establishments and bases in the UK
- Soft facilities management and training services to the Defence School of Electronic and Mechanical Engineering (DSEME)
- A long term contract to provide and operate three Fire Fighting Training Units (FFTU)
- Supporting the delivery of the Maritime Composite Training System (MCTS)
We support the RN in ensuring training outcomes are focused on delivering operational success. We deliver innovative and agile solutions which enable significant change to help the RN maintain force generation and satisfy its future force requirements.
In addition we have a number of commercial contracts providing training to international navies and related organisations in support of ship procurement and crew training programmes. Babcock is a leading provider of critical communications services in support of all three Armed Forces. Through the operation and maintenance of the UK MOD's high frequency and very low frequency defence communications facilities, Babcock ensures continued and improved communications in support of the front line. In addition, Babcock's expertise enables the design, integration and support of information communications technology (ICT) as well as the manufacture of specialist communication vehicle conversions.
